How do I send a digital card?

Ecards are becoming an increasingly popular choice, as they are a faster alternative to printing and mailing your cards. All you need to do this is an email address for the guest accessing the card.

How does it work?

You can create tailored ecards for your guests. Ecards are hosted as an extension to your wedding website with their own unique url. Ultimately, your guests will receive and email which contains a link to their ecard.


To send your ecard emails simply follow these steps:

  • Collect your guest's email addresses.
  • Choose your ecard design.
  • Write your ecard.
  • Write your email.
  • Send your emails.

Collecting email addresses

Although the email addresses aren't needed quite yet, it helps to get these first in case it takes some time for some guests to respond. How you collect the email addresses, we've left this up to you.

Choosing your design

When selecting your ecard design, any ecards that match your wedding website will be listed first. All other designs can be selected below.

To select a design, click the thumbnail or the colour circle to select a colour scheme, then click Save and Continue.

Writing your ecard

Here you will find enter your ecard content including your wedding date and location and a personalised message for each guest. Pressing Enter on your keyboard will allow you to paragraph your message by adding space between the text.

When you're happy, click Save and Continue

Writing your email

You can edit your email subject, and reply-to email which is defaulted to the email used to sign up with.

The email will address your selected guests with the Salutation followed by your guest's names separated by commas.

The message body is ideal to introduce your wedding website to the guests, and to include any passwords that are used in your wedding website.


You can click Preview Email to see how your email will look to your guests.

Click Save and Continue to proceed to sending your emails.

Sending your emails

Next, your guest list will be shown, and grouped by party. Here you can now add your email addresses, preview emails, and send your emails.

By clicking on Preview & Send, you will see that each email will address each guest which is in that party i.e. a whole family or a couple. Clicking Send Email will now send the email.

You will now see the email status in the guest's tile. Here you can also view the email which was sent, and open up the ecard.

Can my guests unlock their RSVP through the ecard?

Yes, Invitations and Save the Date ecards include a link your guests can click which will direct them to your wedding website. This link is unique for the party to whom you sent the ecard as it can unlock that parties' RSVP when they land on the wedding website

To activate the RSVP unlocking feature navigate to the RSVP settings. and toggle Allow the use of magic links. This can be activated/deactivated without having to resend your ecards.
