Hey Wedding Day

How should I organise my groups of guests?

When adding guests to your Guest List it's important that you organise your groups of guests from the start.

You will split your guests into groups, which are created each time you click Save when adding guests.

Each group of guests will have it's own expandable/collapsible row, displaying their responses in your Guest List.

In the above example, The Richardsons are a group, and Tom + friend are a different group.

What to consider when creating your groups

In general you should split your guests into groups of guests that you would include in the same invitation. This could be a family, a close group of friends, or a single person with a plus one, for example.

  • Each group of guests are assigned a single RSVP passcode, and will respond on the same RSVP form. This means that a guest will be aware of another guest in that group when responding in the RSVP.

  • When a guest signs in on your website, they will be signed in with the other guests in the group. Each guest also has access to sign in as another guest in that same group.

  • When sending an E-card, the email will address each guest within that group. For example Dear John, Steve, Pat & Timothy,

What to avoid

A common mistake is to create groups of guest which are too big, and the guests likely do not know each other. It's best to avoid creating guests of groups such as Sunday Guests as each guest in that group will have access to each other guests RSVP, and there will be places where you may see a long list of names in your website, making it altogether less personal.
